Why have an Entrepreneur & Inventors Club?

  What is the E & I Club about?

The Blackhawk Hills Entrepreneur and Inventors Club is a place where likeminded individuals can meet to share knowledge, experiences, problems and ideas, as well as, find the resources and tools to attain success in their ventures. We are helping educate inventors and entrepreneurs to start, maintain and grow their businesses successfully throughout the region of Northwest Illinois.

Blackhawk Hills covers the counties of Jo Davies, Stephenson, Carroll, Ogle, Lee, & Whiteside. However, everyone is welcome. We have members from the Chicago suburbs, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Membership is free.

  Club Activities

We hold meetings usually once a month on the forth Thursday at 6:00pm. Some months may vary on the date so be sure to check the calendar. Club members design the club to meet its members’ needs by providing relevant topics for discussion, speakers and question/answer sessions.  These meetings are open to anyone and provide a friendly forum for members and guests. Each month we have a speaker. The speaker is usually a Club member. Occasionally, we invite a guest speaker who is a very successful entrepreneur, expert in a topic (such as legal, taxes, patents, procurements. etc.) relevant to our group, or a supportive or funding agency. These sessions also offer networking opportunities for members, providing market research, funding research and matchmaking. We will offer assistance and introduce you to potential advisors, mentors and support agencies, when appropriate and necessary.

We are eager to hear about your project and hope to advise, contribute, and sometimes, other members may invest in what you're trying to do. We have many collaborations going on at any given time in regards to design, marketing, prototyping, and more.
